The architecture of movies_webapp_frontend is built on a modular, component-driven Single Page Application (SPA) paradigm. The primary design goal was to decouple the presentation layer from the data-fetching layer, ensuring that UI components remain highly reusable, testable, and deterministic.

- Ingestion / Input: User interactions (search queries, filter selections, pagination triggers) capture intent and update local/global state.
- Processing / Logic: Client-side filtering, sorting, and debounced search logic. Asynchronous API orchestration using the Fetch API with robust error boundaries.
- Persistence & Caching: In-memory state caching, session storage for user preferences, and optimistic UI updates to minimize perceived latency.
💻 Tech Stack & Engineering Decisions
Every technology choice in this repository was made to optimize performance, maintainability, and developer velocity while keeping the client-side bundle as lightweight as possible.
- Frontend: Built with React to leverage its virtual DOM reconciliation, ensuring high-performance rendering of large media catalogs and dynamic UI updates.
- Styling: Pure CSS3 with Custom Properties (Variables). Heavy UI frameworks (like Bootstrap or Material UI) were deliberately avoided to minimize bundle size, eliminate render-blocking CSS, and maintain complete control over the paint cycle and responsive breakpoints.
- Data & Middleware: Native Fetch API with custom wrapper hooks for intercepting requests, handling token-based authentication headers, and standardizing error responses.
